mercedes manual says after replacing lateral accel sensor you have to enter a "driving test" using star scan so stability program module can calibrate to new sensor. Is this available on the launch?

The lamp will remain lit after replacing sensor until this drive cycle.
After replacing sensor, drive the vehicle with the ESP turned off to above 15 Mph, without applying the brakes. Then make a left turn.

This will reset system

Factory tool will instruct tech to do the same as above.......
