I just bought the CRecorder and cannot connect to the website 7/14/08 at 3pm eastern. How can I download the software?

Has the tool succesfully been able to program the braking modules with sensotronic braking.

We have read warnings that with out the proper programing we could delete some very expensive MB programs.

1996 Discovery I Idle relearn

I have this Disco with a very high idle (2000 rpm's) and need to relearn the Idle.

Using ver. 27.00 and I can read data but no opition for a relearn.

Any help or suggestions be very appreciated.

Had a Ford Taurus and had to replace the airbag controller. What a pleasant surprise to see that I could configure it with the X431 and save a trip to the dealer. I also had to replace a GEM module in a 2000 Ford Ranger. Once again I was able to configure it with the X431.

I get many calls concerning lack of capabilities only to find out that the tool has not been updated in two years. There have been 700 updates in the last two years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crecorder switches from Farenheit to celsius

When playing a movie in digital form the temperature switches from Farenheit to Celsius after the first frame. It will still display the temperature in Farenheit but the number converts to celsius. For instance, if the first frame reads 152.6f the next frame will read 67f. It happens with every car I've tried it on. If you pause the movie and drag the cursor back to the beginning, it will read a celsius temp but with an F after the number i.e. 67f. Anyone else having this problem?

Missing Asian modules

When scanning Asian cars such as Toyota, Honda, etc. using the USA-Canada load you will often not be able to find all the modules. Back out and select the Japan and rest of world load and you will find most of them.

I am using Launch x431 scan tool, after diagnosis on a Honda Accord 2000 model, I got the following error code:

VEH. INFO

ID CODE: 1201005001

VEH. TYPE: ACCORD

0-2 PCM Internal Circuit Failure

though, the vehicle runs and drive fine, I just want to know why this code is there and why i am unable to erase it and why the check engine light is coming back.

Crecorder fails to connect to pc?

ET3010 USERS,

Can anybody help me with advice on setting up the unit so it talks to the pc?

I have version 2.30 installed on the pc and it has recognised the hardware and installed the drivers.

XP tells me everything is working fine.

But I am unable to FORMAT the unit or SET TIME, it tells me the "Crecorder card not connected".

I have followed both pdf setup guides without any success.

Can anybody tell me if they experienced difficulties? if so how ...

Ok I've tried from my work and tried from my home for about 2 or 3 weeks now and the site www.crecorder.com always comes up unable to connect to server. Whats up! It doesn't matter what browser I try.

Found this niffty little device and it seems to have potential for alot of good. The only real questions i have is how much data does it store. Does it store all the pids and then display them. Does it show the pids in gragh form only or can you look at each individual frames of the data stream? Do you have to pick certian pids to record or are they preset and cannot look at any other pids. I have downloaded the veiwer 2.3 and it does not really expalin how much it can show. There is just not ...

with latest software version, it asks to use the hyundai connector 14 not sure about number 14 , i did not write it down-- combo with obd 2 16 pin in combo connector

----like early nissan when you use only the part that is non obd 2

cannot find this connector on the car, can see obd 2 connector, i have in my kit a combo connector for hyundai and mitsubishi connector

i wanted to access srs system , so cannot...

factory scanner uses the obd 2 connector under steering to access ...

this car was brought to me with a used transmission automatic to be installed, the guy also brought the latest '' conductor plate electrical plate'' part no 140-270 -08-61 after installation it shifts fine for a while then does not want to shift to 4 th gear, if i clear the code 147 or 51 , same code but one is intermittent -- minus 96 --- 147-96= 51

it can be driven for a while , shifts smooth, then same problem , same code 147 most of the time, i clear the code and he is ok for ...

Latest version of software would not acces any systems. Using CanbusII or Smart OBDII. Tried another model KIA (not sure which one) and was able to enter and clear SRS codes.

Where to buy accessories for x431?

Where can I buy more paper for my X431 ? Used to be that you could buy the thermal printer paper and the various connectors from the Lauch USA website, but I just logged on and found they only offer the X431 tool, but have eliminated the accessories. What now? Anyone have a web link?

mercedes manual says after replacing lateral accel sensor you have to enter a "driving test" using star scan so stability program module can calibrate to new sensor. Is this available on the launch?

i am starting to use this tool more and am needing a option for a white backround choice.

i like to print the graph for customers and black takes alot of ink, plus i don't like the contrast.

i already have a ease pc based scan tool program and it uses a white backround which works fine.

your product is easier to use for a quick test drive.

please add a choice for white backround, please.

Having 2 problems with this vehicle. First,I am unable to do any actuations under engine control. The tests are shown on the tool but when I select one, nothing happens.

Second, when testing ABS or ESP, if the engine is running, all the instrument cluster warnning lamps having to do with brake or stability are on. If I back the tool out of the ABS or BAS module the warnning lamps turn off. Other than turning on the lamps the tool works correctly & will do actuations on the brake system. ...

i ' ve been using the launch x 431 for 4 years, a lot of progress has been made, there should be much more i hope to come, i just sent my launch x 431 unit to launch canada's headquarter as a trade in to get the wireless infinite unit...

any feedback on this unit.. i don' t think there is a small printer in it now , not sure...

specially for jaguar and saab,

1999 ram 2500 with 5.9 cummins 24 valve. X431 will hook up to PCM & correctly identify engine as a cummins. Will read codes OK but all the data stream pids & actuator choices are for gas engines. Will this tool work on cummins?

hello everyone ...i changed a steering angle sensor in a 2004 passat wagon.....now the coding in the abs module is 00000..............original coding was 04255 .....

has anyone recoded an abs module with the x 431?........the procedure on the launch website isn't working for me ..........

also do i need to input a dealership code before trying to code this module ?
