| | 1998 740IL (E38) using BMW ver.34.00 I have a DOOR OPEN message on dash and I am trying to read door switches to see what door is sensing a open door I am unable to read any data on door switchs. Any help or sugestions? |

| Hi there
The bmw you have sounds like a door contact switch or door catch or wiring if it is possiable to check this, if you cannot enter the system using ZKE / ZVM (Central Body Module) under the E38 please try the E39 series to try communication if this still fails please contact your dealer with the cars full details for a software error check i case there is a problem with our software.

| | There is no option for E39 Chassis and when I use E38 I can go to ZKE but not ZKE/ZVM are we missing some software ? Once I go into ZKE I get data options but no data. |

| Hi there
there is no option for 5 series E39? if this is the case about the software entering the system on E38 live data and there is no live data display please contact your dealer about the software error. then we can test the software data on this car and series.... to correct if necessary

| I did find the E39 and had the same No data reading
Switch to software ver 31.05 and all data is readable and working. |

okay no problem i will report this to the bmw engineer to test on monday, if this version of software that you used and the new software is incorrect the software will be corrected in the next bmw software update,
